Local discovery Nature-based practice Practical systems
Who this is for

You know your work.
Now help your neighbours find it.

Local Practitioners

Nature immersion guides, coaches, and wellness practitioners who want the right local clients to understand what they offer.

Community Businesses

Small teams and place-based businesses whose best work depends on trust, word of mouth, and being easy to find nearby.

Solo Operators

People doing meaningful work without a marketing department, a giant budget, or extra hours to spend on complicated tools.

What you will build

A simpler way to show up in your place.

01

Clear local positioning

Say what you do, who it is for, and where you do it so people can recognize the fit quickly.

02

Useful public touchpoints

Build the small set of pages, profiles, and messages that help a real person take the next step.

03

Trust that travels locally

Turn your experience, relationships, and results into signals that make choosing you feel easier.

04

A repeatable rhythm

Keep your local presence alive with a system you can actually maintain alongside the work itself.

Inside Foundations

Build your local presence with Google tools.

Get Found Locally – Foundations is a hands-on program for nature immersion guides. Using free Google tools, you will build and publish your Google presence, website, enquiry and booking tools, then begin reaching aligned local partners and participants.

01

Set Your Local Foundation

Set up the core tools and information you will use throughout the program. Define a clear local offer, organize your business materials in Google Drive, and create a Google Business Profile that accurately represents your guiding work.

02

Be Easy to Choose

Create a simple, participant-friendly website that answers the questions people have before they enquire or book. Use Google Sites to publish a free, shareable website with clear booking information, useful photos, and participant maps.

03

Turn Interest Into Bookings

Create a straightforward path from initial interest to a confirmed participant. Use Google Forms, Calendar, and Sheets to collect enquiries, register people for scheduled walks, share clear next steps, and track what leads to bookings.

04

Learn What Works

Use simple evidence to improve what you have built. Check whether people can find your Business Profile and website, see which local searches bring visitors in, and focus on actions that signal genuine booking interest.

05

Grow Trust Locally

Turn your online presence into continuing local relationships, repeat participation, and referrals. Create a review routine, build a permission-based email list, identify aligned local partners, and establish a realistic monthly visibility rhythm.

Bonus

Explore Google AI Tools

Use optional Google Labs tools to shape your brand, website, and content materials. This supports drafting and planning; it does not replace your judgement, knowledge of place, or responsibility for what you publish.

Before you begin

You will need a free Google Account. No website, marketing, or technical experience is required.

Free-tools note: This program uses free Google tools, including Google Business Profile, Sites, Drive, Forms, Calendar, Sheets, Search Console, and Analytics. Optional costs may include a custom domain, a dedicated email-marketing platform, or paid or limited-access AI features you choose to use.

The first program

Start with Foundations.

Get Found Locally – Foundations is the first program in the series, focused on using free Google tools to build an online presence, grow your practice, and get found without becoming a full-time marketer.

The person behind the series

Hi, I’m Tara.

I’m a forest therapy guide, nature-based health researcher, and recovering over-complicator. I built this series around a simple observation: meaningful local work is easier to sustain when the people who need it can find it.

These are practical lessons from building tech startups, non-profits, programs, and partnerships that allow you to spend time with the community you want to serve, not with a computer screen.

FAQs

A few things you might be wondering.

I already have a website. Is this program still for me?

Yes. You do not need to replace your current website or move it to Google Sites. Use this program to strengthen what you already have: clarify your offers, improve your booking or enquiry path, connect your Google Business Profile, add participant-ready information, track what is working, build local referrals, and create a sustainable outreach routine.

Where a practice uses Google Sites, you can apply the same structure, copy, and checklists to your existing website instead. The program is about getting your local presence working, not requiring a particular website platform.

Your next useful step

should be able to find it.
